Who we are

getDailySpot ("we") is a daily venue-discovery app at getdailyspot.com. For anything in this policy, contact us at support@getdailyspot.com.

What we collect

• Account: your phone number or email address, or — if you sign in with Google — your name, email address and profile picture as provided by Google. We never see your passwords.
• Profile: the display name, username and avatar you choose to add.
• Location: read only when you view distances or check in, to confirm you are near the venue. We do not track you in the background.
• Check-ins and messages: ephemeral by design — both are permanently deleted every day at 04:00 local time of the venue's region. Badges, streaks and aggregate counters persist.
• Analytics: usage events (pages viewed, check-ins, shares) via third-party analytics and ad-measurement services — only after you accept the cookie banner.
• Campaign attribution: if you arrive from an ad or shared link, we store its parameters (utm tags, click id) in a first-party cookie for 28 days and attach them to your account when you sign up.
• Push notifications: a push subscription token, only if you turn notifications on. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.

How we use it

To run the product (show nearby picks, validate check-ins, deliver messages and notifications), to keep it safe, and to understand which campaigns and features work. We do not sell personal data.

Who processes it

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, under data-processing agreements: hosting, database and sign-in infrastructure, SMS delivery, venue information, and analytics/ad measurement. The current list of providers is available on request via the contact address above.

Cookies

Strictly necessary: ds_lang (your language), ds_consent (your cookie choice) and the sign-in session. Only if you accept the cookie banner: ds_attr (28-day campaign attribution) and third-party analytics and ad-measurement cookies. Decline and none of the measurement scripts load at all; declining later also removes them.

Retention and your rights

Messages and check-ins are deleted daily as described above. Account and profile data are kept until you delete your account. Email us to access, correct or delete your data; we respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and its effective date.
